Getting dressed shouldn't require help, and with these adaptive boxer shorts, it doesn't have to. Designed for men managing limited mobility, post-surgery recovery, stroke, or arthritis, these boxer shorts open completely flat with Velcro fastenings on both sides, making independent dressing possible even when lying down or seated.
From the front they look like regular underwear, no visible adaptive features, no bulk, no compromise on dignity. The loose, longer-length cut provides comfortable coverage and ease of movement throughout the day.
The full side-opening design means the shorts can be laid flat, positioned around the body, and fastened without any stepping in, pulling up, or significant hand dexterity required. Ideal for self-dressing or carer-assisted dressing.
Suitable for: post-surgery recovery, stroke rehabilitation, arthritis and limited hand dexterity, long-term mobility conditions, and carer-assisted daily dressing.

FAQs
FAQs
Q: Can these be put on without standing up?
Yes. The full side-opening design allows the shorts to be laid
completely flat, positioned under or around the person, and
fastened with the Velcro closures, making them suitable for dressing while lying in bed or seated in a chair or wheelchair.
Watch the video in the gallery to see this demonstrated.
Q: Do these look like regular underwear when worn?
Yes. From the front they look like standard boxer shorts. The
Velcro side openings are positioned along the seam and are not
obvious under clothing or to other people.
Q: Are they suitable for someone with a catheter?
These shorts can work alongside catheter management but are not specifically designed with catheter support pockets. If you need a catheter-specific solution, see our adaptive pants with built-in catheter pockets instead.
Q: How do the Velcro fastenings hold up after washing?
Very well, provided you fasten all the Velcro closures before
putting them in the wash. This prevents the Velcro from catching
on the fabric and maintains the grip strength over time.
