Health Monitoring Devices FAQs

Can I share my home readings with my doctor?

Yes, and we encourage it. Keeping a simple log of your home readings over days or weeks gives your doctor much more useful information than a single clinic reading. Many of our devices display and hold recent readings. You can note these in a notebook or share them at your next appointment. Some people also photograph the display after each reading for easy reference.

Are these devices accurate enough for home use?

Yes. All devices in our range are designed to provide reliable readings for home monitoring purposes. They are not clinical-grade medical instruments, but they are suitable for tracking trends in your blood pressure, blood oxygen, glucose levels, and temperature over time. For diagnosis or medical decisions, always consult your doctor and use their equipment as the reference point.

How often should I check my blood pressure at home?

This depends on your individual health situation and your doctor's advice. As a general guide, people managing hypertension often monitor once or twice daily - at the same time each day, after resting for five minutes, and before taking medication. Always share your home readings with your GP or specialist and follow their guidance on frequency and target ranges.

Who is the blood glucose monitor suitable for?

Our blood glucose monitor is suitable for people who have been advised by their doctor or diabetes nurse to monitor their blood glucose at home. It uses micro blood sampling (a very small sample) and requires no code entry, making it simpler to use than many standard monitors. If you are newly diagnosed or unsure how to interpret your readings, consult your GP before starting home monitoring.

What is a pulse oximeter used for?

A pulse oximeter clips onto a fingertip and measures blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) and heart rate in about 5 seconds. It is commonly used by people with respiratory conditions such as asthma, COPD, or sleep apnea, those recovering from illness or surgery, and anyone who wants a quick check on their oxygen levels and pulse. Normal SpO2 for healthy adults is typically 95–100%. If you consistently read below 94%, consult your doctor.

When should I use the infrared thermometer?

The no-contact infrared thermometer is useful for quickly checking temperature without waking someone, for people who find traditional thermometers uncomfortable, or for households that want a fast, hygienic option. It gives a reading in 1 second. Normal adult body temperature is typically 36.1–37.2°C. If someone has a high or persistent fever, always seek medical advice.

Home Health Monitoring: what each device is for

Home health monitoring devices help you and your family stay informed about key health indicators between doctor visits, giving you more confidence, earlier awareness of changes, and better conversations with your healthcare team.

A blood pressure monitor is the most commonly used home health device, particularly for people managing hypertension or heart conditions. Our digital arm monitor takes an automatic reading and displays systolic, diastolic, and pulse readings clearly.

A pulse oximeter is a quick and non-invasive way to check blood oxygen levels and heart rate, useful for people with respiratory or cardiac conditions, or anyone recovering from illness.

A blood glucose monitor is essential for people managing diabetes at home. Ours is code-free and uses micro blood sampling, making it simpler than many standard options.

An infrared thermometer provides instant no-contact temperature readings, useful for households with elderly members, those recovering from illness, or anyone who wants a fast hygienic option.

All readings from home devices should be shared with and interpreted by your doctor or healthcare provider. These devices support monitoring, they do not replace professional medical advice or diagnosis.
